Taking the day off!

***First of all, a reminder that tomorrow is the last day to let me know if you'd like to come out next Sunday for some FREE family photos. (You don't have to have kids at home to participate... couples, singles, pets, everyone is invited!) If you don't know what in the world I'm talking about, click HERE***

Do you want to know something that makes me really happy?
Awe. Some.

We have BIG PLANS this weekend, and it's looking like the weather will be just heavenly. Eee! I'm so excited. But first, we have to get through this week. I'm not gonna lie to you guys...I've got nothin' for ya. Haha. I spent a really lovely lazy Sunday at church and with my family, and the blog sort of got put on the back burner.

Whew. Do you know how hard it is to accept that? For nearly a month now I've been typing my little fingers away every.single.day. To just let it go for a day feels like...I don't know...like I didn't do a term paper and I'm being called out in front of the whole class. But never you fear, I have plans for this week! So many that I'm not quite sure what to do first!

So if you haven't already, today would be a wonderful day to peruse around the site...maybe catch up on a blog or two you may have missed, and get ready for something new! I feel the need to periodically thank everyone who continues to read this little project of mine. It truly has become a wonderful outlet for me to do the one thing I enjoy most. It almost feels like I'm putting my degree to use, haha.

I'm thinking this little girl needs some serious mommy attention today. There aren't going to be many more days of just us TWO girls. *Sigh*

And who knows, I may end up putting up something new this afternoon and deleting this post altogether, haha. I never know when an idea will hit, and my trigger happy fingers sometimes want to hit "publish" early. :) No promises...but we'll see. In the meantime, if you have any questions for me, let me know! Something you're just dying to know? Something you'd like to see me blog about? You can even comment or ask anonymously if you want. I promise, I'll answer truthfully no matter what. But this promise is only valid for the next 12 hours or so, so you better ask fast! ;)

so today I'm actually doing a lot of what you've been writing about! well ok first I have to seriously clean, but then I got out my mom's fall decorations and pull out decorations and little candlescapes all over the living room and kitchen. last night Nick and I sat in the living room in complete silence with nothing but the candlescapes lit, it was peaceful, and wonderful. so take a break, you deserve it, because you have helped me figure out how to make the place I am living feel a little more like MY home. (we're living with my parents in case you didn't know)

oh, also, you should let all your mommy friends know that a good place to set up decorations in their kids get into EVERYTHING is the kitchen table, it's a lot taller than the coffee table so the kiddies cant break the pretties.

Hooray! You have no idea how happy it makes me to know that you made your own candlescapes, haha. Yes, I am a dork. I LOVE just sitting around in the candlelight. It's fantastic.

And that's a great point! I could write a whole blog on candle safety. (I had to learn it all when I sold candles!) Unfortunately, I can't have as many candles around as I'd like anymore because of tiny nosy fingers. :) So I just have a few here and there. Someday my house will glow again...someday.
