We live for the weekend. :)

We had such an amazing weekend, and I didn't get pictures of any of it. I know, I know. What the heck is wrong with me? Every place we went something incredibly cute or funny or worth remembering happened, and now there are no photos of it happening...and the memories are already slipping from my brain like quicksand. There were so many times I thought oh my gosh I wish I had my camera right now...ugh, we so need to be getting a picture of this...this is hilarious, I need to share this on my blog.... But no.

Moral of this story: I am never leaving home without my big bessie camera ever again!

My weekend officially started with Friday night dinner with Eric's parents and then...drum roll please...BLOGGER BUNCO! Woot! Since I don't have pictures of us ladies at Bunco, I'm going to steal someone else's pictures and we can pretend like it's us.

Ah, here we are. Bunco Babes. Just go with it.

It was so great to see everyone, and Sarah R had such a cute set up for us with yummy snacks to enjoy! If I had brought my camera along you would now be seeing pictures of colorful bottles of soda chilling in a bin of ice, platters of pizza ryes (which Cassie calls something else that I will not be sharing on this blog today...baha) and a watermelon basket of fruit, among other goodies to eat.

Right about now I'd be showing you pictures of tables of women laughing and rolling dice. You would see the score cards that Sarah B made for everyone, customized with our blog names on the front. (I thought that was adorable, Sarah!) Instead, here's a cartoon version of us:

Most of us left our cameras at home, which I learned was because everyone assumed I'd be bringing my camera, haha. Somewhere there is a real group picture of everyone floating around, but since I'm not sure who has one I couldn't harass ask anyone for a copy. :)

The weather was gorgeous this weekend, and so we walked...and walked and walked. We put so many miles on our stroller that Evelyn asked more than once if she could "go hooome." It was so beautiful out that we not only strolled around town in the evenings as usual, but also right in the middle of the day -- awesome.

On Saturday afternoon we had a great time at a surprise 50th birthday party for Eric's cousin Kathy. I know Kathy reads this blog, so I have to give a shout out to her: Happy Birthday, Kathy!!! Evelyn had a blast running around with all of the little girls and playing outside. And there is no such thing as a family get together without heaping plates of food that leave you fit to burst. I'm pretty sure I'm still full. Later that evening we took our walk and stopped at Red Bud's first annual Garten Fest, which just happened to be right on our walking path.

I'll be honest, I don't have a great idea of what goes on at this Garten Fest, but I did see lots of food stands and a really good band. We have videos of Evelyn dancing to some classic rock tunes, but of course it's on Eric's phone which is in downtown St. Louis at the moment. I'm so off of my game today. :)

Sunday was a lovely family day. Church, lunch, a long walk where babies napped and Eric and I had two hours of uninterrupted conversation, grilling up a scrumptious dinner, and then another long walk around town to end the evening. <-- Wow, I swear we have lives, haha. Gotta get all of our walking in while this weather is so nice! Unfortunately, Eric ended the weekend looking a little something like this:

Poor guy. :) His face is apparently not conditioned for spending all day outside, haha. We didn't even think to apply sunblock when there was such a pleasant breeze and it wasn't scorching out.

So that's it. Lots of friends and family, way too much eating, and a whole lot of walking -- our favorite kind of weekend! And now I have lots of housework to catch up on. There's always gotta be a Monday, huh? Hope you all have a great week! The girls and I are getting ready to bunker down with a little Sleeping Beauty while we wait for lunch time. Who knows what our day will bring!

P.S. Check out Heather's Blog for a picture of all of us. Thanks for posting that, Heather!
