Confession Friday 9-16!

It's finally Friday! Oh my gosh, this week has gone by so incredibly slow for me. I was always at least a day ahead of the actual day of the week...It's only Monday? It's only Tuesday? I'm so ready for the weekend!

So I found the missing pictures from last week. This is what happens when you close the bathroom door for thirty seconds in this house:

That would be sticky lemonade.

This poses a great "would you rather?" question for the day. Would you rather have a kid trying to climb on your lap while your going to the bathroom, OR would you rather have your house implode every time you close the bathroom door? Yikes!

I confess that every single time I plan a birthday party something else ends up being the exact same day. Sorry Heather, our parties are going to clash after all because of Eric's work travels. Boo!

I confess that I'm finding it oddly hard to get motivated to decorate for Fall ...but I'm so ready to put up the Christmas tree! We have a new perfect place for it this year and I can't wait to rearrange the living room. :)

I confess that for the first time in quite a while I'm getting major baby fever and a desire to hold an itty bitty. Somebody better hand over their kid stat, or I'm going to be in trouble!

I confess that I could never master the whole baby swaddling thing when I had newborns...even after the nurses showed me a million times. I sorta wrapped my kids up like a burrito and hoped for the best. :)

I confess that I just accidentally discovered a way to make vampire smileys. :)=  <--There you go. Feel free to steal for all of your Halloween typing needs. You're welcome.

I confess that Evelyn thinks every piece of literature is called "The Bible." Including the Gilmore Girls dvd insert.

Evie found a new buggy pal yesterday. :) I tried to take this video after she had already been talking to her fly friend for quite a while. "Come here little bug...come to Evie!"
Forgive my child trying to spit for the camera. Ay yi yi.

I love you, buggy. Hehe.

I confess that after our flyscapade yesterday I had a brief lapse in judgement and thought it would be a great idea to get Evelyn a hamster. I even looked up cages on craigslist and thought of the perfect place to put one. But judgement has been restored and my verdict is: No smelly rodent pets, please. Maybe we'll get a goldfish someday. :)

I confess that I do not appreciate when stores try to insult my intelligence. Yes, Old Navy I'm talking to you. Don't get all flashy with your "Hurry, get 20% off all adult styles online for 2 days only!" and then up the prices on everything so there's really no savings at all. That's right...I've been watching you. Sneaky, sneaky. (Still loving you for our costume savings, though! Haha.)

I confess that the Elementary School's Fun Fair is NOT the same without the Chili. Remember when it was the Chili Supper Fun Fair? And remember when you could throw your friends in "jail?" Ah...those were the days.

I confess that I have been making very little progress on Grace's birthday party, because I've been choosing sleep over staying up to make decorations. Looks like I've got some late nights in my future...I'm behind!

I confess that when I send Eric to the store he comes home with gobs of candy and I go to bed with a stomach ache. Note to self: Don't send Eric to the store anymore.

I confess that we were supposed to start Evelyn's fun pre-preschool stuff the week that Eric took off of work, but I completely forgot about it! Whoopsies! Looks like we'll be starting two weeks behind.

I confess that the thing I've been looking forward to the most this week is that "Beauty and the Beast" is playing on the Disney Channel this morning.

****

Now I've got lots to do before that movie comes on! Haha. I've been having a lot of fun with the girls for the past couple of days...just playing with them and watching their personalities blossom and grow. Gracie is especially like a brand new kid...I barely recognize her from a couple of months ago. *Sigh*  I'm excited for a fun family night this evening and then a hot date with Eric and some spaghetti tomorrow night. :) Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

I confess I have not swaddled either one of my kids. I know how to do it but I prefer to just tuck a blanket in just under their arms underneath of them.

I confess that it makes me sad that there is no longer a jail at the fun fair...and it doesn't sound right to say fun fair without chili supper in front of it.

I confess that tonight Jake and I had a similar "you can't go to the store anymore" conversation when I sent him to get garlic cheese bread and he came home with all the ingredients for chocolate chip cookies, as well....

aahahahahaa...this is only my second year teaching at the Elementary school, so I don't know about the old school fun fair days - but I DO know that my job helping tonight was serving bowls of chili :) so ironic to just read this :)
