More did's and didn'ts :)

So I'm not saying this is something I'm going to do every single week, but this did's and didn'ts thing works really well when you don't know what else to say! So once again, here are a few things we did and didn't do this weekend. :)

We did go to the homecoming football game on Friday night, and we had a lot of fun! The Musketeers kicked some major booty, too. :)

Evelyn didn't wan't to stay in one predicted.

But she did insist on calling the middle aged woman standing next to us "grandma" over and over again at the top of her voice. Middle aged woman was not too thrilled about this. I thought it was hilarious. :D

I didn't cook a single meal the entire weekend until Sunday night - score!

I did get to go on a fun shopping excursion with the hubs on Saturday. I can not even begin to express how grateful we are to have parents who give us frequent nights off on the weekends. Now that I think about it, Saturday nights may be the only time all week that I spend more than 5 minutes apart from the girls, other than the hour that they might spend in the church nursery on Sunday morning.  Love my kids, but getting a break is lovely.

I didn't buy every single item in the Target dollar spot - but I wanted to. Oh, how I wanted to! I'm a big fat sucker for holiday decor. And if it out.

I did pick up a few things for Grace's birthday party, though. And we scored a few Christmas gifts while we were out and about. We used coupons for everything. I don't think it's possible for me to buy something without a coupon anymore. It is not well with my soul.

I didn't get the caramel apple I was craving until almost the end of the weekend. And I kid you not, I'm 99% sure there *was* a worm inside. Let's just say there was a hole, and a mushy middle, and a not so pleasant bite of something which involuntarily made it's way back out of my mouth....

I did still eat the caramel and nuts off of the outside before I threw it away. Mmmm.... ;)

I didn't hang up any Fall decor. I really don't know what's wrong with me this year.

But I did get some birthday decorations, love, love! I think this is my favorite theme yet.

Poopy iPhone photo. :)

Eric didn't know he was going to be asked to teach our Sunday school class yesterday morning. We scurried around to get out of the door on time, only to discover that we were the only ones who showed up for our class this week, haha.

I did still make Eric "teach" me the lesson. He thought I was a goober. We love each other.

I didn't completely hyperventilate when it was announced in church that our annual fish fry is on the SAME date and at the SAME time that I had planned for Grace's party. But I was close. Seriously. I haven't ever gotten to plan a party when there wasn't 674869 other things going on. It doesn't matter how early I set the date, someone else picks the same darn day to do a huge event. So Heather, looks like our party is NOT going to be on the 22nd after all!

This does mean that I have to pick a new date, and I need your opinions please. I still need Grace's birthday party to be the weekend of the 22nd, but would you be more likely to attend a kid's birthday party on a Friday night or Sunday night? Eric and I have differing opinions, so I need help! I have to make up invitations soon.

I didn't change my pants all weekend. Jeans are meant to be worn over and over...right?

I did spend way too much time on the disboards learning which restaurant in Disney World has the best hamburger. Because you never know when the urge for a gourmet burger will strike after riding Dumbo for the umpteenth time. ;)

I didn't fall asleep super early last night, so I finally had time to make a new blog header. Fall has arrived on blogger.

And finally...I did watch our girls turn into even better friends this weekend. Evie and Grace are interacting with each other in different ways all the time, and it is the most fun thing to watch. Even Eric noticed. I can't believe that by the end of this season I'll have two babies running around the house. on two feet. And one quite possibly out of diapers. What will I do with myself when I don't have double diaper duty or a baby to lug around on my hip all day?

So what about you, friends? Anything you meant to do and didn't? Something you did do that you weren't expecting? And seriously, help a girl out on the birthday party thing. I'll have a mental breakdown if I have to change the date one more time. :D

A carmel apple sounds amazing right does hot chocolate!!

I wanted to go pumpkin picking but we didn't...maybe this weekend we will!

I would do friday night for the party. To me Sunday nights are more of a relaxing at home kind of night.

Thanks, Meagan - that's what I was thinking too! ;)

i think people would go to a friday night birthday party.
but i feel ya on the planning thing. my husbands family is HUGE and there is ALWAYS something going on which makes it impossible to plan anything!!
