Welcoming October

I spent the weekend in various levels of pain. For most of it, it felt as if someone was jackhammering on one of my top left molars. Not fun. Last December when I had a root canal it was brought to my attention that this particular tooth would need to be looked at more closely at my next visit. That it definitely needed a filling and possibly a root canal as well. Looks like I can't put it off any longer! You better believe that as soon as the girls are old enough we're getting their teeth sealed, because if they take after their mama, they will spend their entire childhood in the dentist's chair.

We were able to accomplish a few things this weekend despite my mouth drama.

Like hanging out with cousin Awesome.

aka: Austin

Did a little bit of this:

And finally, a bit of this:

Evelyn's favorite game is trying to see how quickly she can escape out of the front door without anyone noticing. We live on a busy street... this a heart attack inducing game.

After making a new blog header for a new season and going through lots of pictures last week, I realized that at some point we stopped taking pictures of the girls together on a regular basis. We were so good about it the first few months of Gracie's life, and then life with two became about just getting out the door. No time to stop for pictures. Well, boo to that! I'm starting again. Because that's how I roll.

Unfortunately, Gracie is out of practice. But we'll get her there. :)

And she's going down...

Eventually I'll have two kids who will smile and look at me when I take a picture. True story, or wishful thinking? :)

I look at these pictures and I can't believe that I have two mobile mini's. Grace, we're going to the pumpkin patch next weekend, which means you have one week to take those first steps. No pressure.

We welcomed October with lots of walks, late night movies, and inhaling apple pie like it was going out of style. This is probably our busiest month of the year, and I can't wait for all of the festivities to begin!

A few things we're looking forward to:

Boo at the Zoo!
Grace's Enchanted Forest birthday party
Our church's annual fish fry
Lots of Fall baking and crafting!

Stay tuned! :)

If I can track it down, it's yours! Grace wore it that one night and that was it. (She was only about a week old in that picture, but I think it would still fit Layla.)
