Guess What?

It's October!!

Eep! I can't believe we've finally arrived. The month of absolutely wonderful pandemonium and upheaval for our little household.

October is always a bit insane around here, with all of our activities and traditions and family birthdays. And now this year of course we are adding another birthday to the mix. On our walk last night I turned to Eric and reminded him that in about three weeks life as we know it completely changes for us...yet again. It's hard to know what our lives will be like this time next month, when a new Robert kid is on the scene and we're welcoming November. I honestly have a hard time picturing it. I do know one thing...change is in the air. The OCTOBER air! It's going to be a big month.

I'm not going to lie, sometimes the best thing about having girls is the ability to dress them up like little dolls whenever you please...and they just eat it up! :) We revisited our favorite picture spot this weekend to snap a few photos for October.

My favorite pictures are always the blurry ones - but I don't care. Love this...haha. Sometimes sisters just need to throw their heads back and have a good laugh.

Recognize the shirts
Evie spent that evening trying to pry all of her buttons off.
Little stinker. :)

Eric and I noticed other changes as we were driving through some scenic spots this weekend. The leaves on the trees are slowly beginning to change. I could almost hear the stirring of fall washing over them. Our prediction is that by next weekend, the landscape in our neck of the woods will be transformed into a beautiful autumn wonderland. We can hope, right?!

We had a wonderful rest of the weekend, too. We had a great time at the homecoming football game on Friday night, and on Saturday evening we were able to have dinner with some pretty great people that we don't get to see nearly often enough. It's fantastic to catch up with old friends!

The only bummer was Sunday morning when Grace woke up cranky with a fever. Her bad attitude lasted all of about an hour, and then she was back to her regular shenanigans. I have no idea what in the world was wrong with her, but we were reminded that with the good sometimes comes a little's that time of year again. Sicky germ time. My best guess is that her tiny body was busy fighting something off, and since my second child is kind of a scrapper by trade, Grace's immune system seemed to come out victorious this time. :)

And now marks the beginning of an absolutely crazy week. If you know anyone who is planning to ask me a favor in the next seven days, kindly tell them not to. Haha. I have an entire birthday party to put together, lots of baby stuff to get ready, and a husband who is going to be gone several nights this week. I am tapped out. But in the best way possible, of course. :)

Be still, my heart. :)
Happy Monday!

Love you, girls! Love sharing life with all of you. :)

Haha, Sarah - don't let the smiles deceive you. They are a high maintenance handful! But yes, Eric just informed me this weekend that we are having children in clusters. Apparently I'm not done either. In five years or so I'm having two more. Baha.
