Weekend Wrap Up!

For AJ:

*Friday - Friday night dinner and dance party at the in-laws. Evelyn outdoes herself to Michael Jackson's greatest hits.

*Saturday - Crazy day with crazy kids - double date night with a crazy guy and his super sweet fiancé. Adrien buys a bunch of junk at Target.

*Sunday - Church, lunch, grocery shopping (Aldi - my how you've changed!), dinner with my parents, Shannon is messed up in the head, we did not watch the Grammy's - but everyone on facebook did!

That is the down and dirty version of our weekend.  Continue with :)

On Saturday evening we had plans to go to dinner with some friends of ours who were visiting from out of town. They are gearing up to move across the country, so we knew that we had to spend as much time as possible with them while we could. And as we were all piled in the car driving to the restaurant, I was informed of a way that I could "improve" this blog. :)

It seems that our friend AJ likes to pop in occasionally when he' the porcelain sea. (Thanks, AJ, baha.) And because he only has a few minutes to devote to blog reading each day, he specifically requested that a short summary be included at the beginning of my daily posts. Who needs details, right? And after getting a good laugh out of it, it was ultimately decided by the group that bullet points would be even more awesome and precise. So there you go, AJ. A summary of our weekend, right at the top, just for you.

That's about it, folks. Guess there's nothing more to see here!

Except for maybe a pair of love birds, hehe. Tweetie has a sweetie! This is the only picture we took the entire weekend, but it's so sweet and very appropriate for the week we're about to have!

My mom's Valentine's gift from my dad this year was another pet bird - a girl this time - and they named her Matilda. She's a feisty little thing, but oh my goodness, Tweetie just LOVES her, and he is so happy to have a friend to share his cage with. :) It really is super cute watching them together. They nuzzle and rub and sing...and peck at each other. Just like every other couple on the planet. Haha. Happy Valentine's Day, Tweetie - enjoy your new sweetheart!

Yes, it IS the week for Valentine's week, puke week...WHATEVER you choose to call it, it's here. And that means our world is going to be filled with sugar and spice and everything nice for a few days. So if you are one of the types of people who isn't into hearts and mush...well, here's your warning to join us again NEXT week. ;)

It's a well known fact around these parts that traditionally Eric and I never had good Valentine's Days...but once we had kids it became a fun excuse to just celebrate love in general. We have nothing against Hallmark, so we'll let them have their fun...just this once. And we'll roll up our sleeves and craft and bake to our little heart's content. We have some plans to "spread the love" in the next few days, so we'll see how that goes.

Oh! Before I forget. I will elaborate on one of those bullet-pointed updates. If you can, please say a prayer for my sister today. She really is having some head/memory/focus issues, and she's going to get an MRI today to see what's going on in there. The Marines! I'll tell you what! (I'm not going to elaborate on how I feel about this, because I don't really have many nice things to say at the moment.) So yes, prayers would be greatly appreciated!

Oh! One more thing! One of my old college friends is going to be on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" tonight. He hasn't been able to tell anyone about how far he got in the show, so I'm excited to see how he did! (And okay, to just see someone I know on national television!)

Meet Paul, former Greenville College alum. :)

I don't usually watch this show, but you can bet your boots I'll be tuning in tonight! So if you don't have anything better to do, turn it on and cheer with us. :)

I think that's about it. I hope you all have a happy Monday!
