Grace's Birthday Weekend Wrap Up!

We had a great weekend!!

We totally played hooky on Friday. Shh. Don't tell. Thursday night I was standing at the stove cooking dinner when Eric informed me that he wasn't going to work the next day and Evie wouldn't be going to school; instead, we were going to have a family day for Gracie's birthday. He didn't have to twist my arm to get me to agree! :)

Any time we ask the girls where they want to go for a day, the answer is always the same:

Evie: I want to go to Chuck E. Cheese!
Grace: I want to go to Chuck E. Cheese and The Magic House

Even if we try to sway them to do something else, they stand firm with their choices. And since it was Gracie's birthday weekend, we did exactly what she wanted!

We are totally mean parents and we make the kids eat before they can play. :) But Gracie literally crawls under tables and hops over booths to try and sneak away to the games, haha. Anyway, we've been here before, and you know what it looks like. Everyone had a good time as always!

We had no idea when we made our trip to The Magic House that there was a special event going on. It's called the Not-So-Haunted House and the kids can meet storybook characters, get autographs, and go "trick-or-treating." Some kids were even in their Halloween costumes, and had we known about it, ours would've been, too. :)

These were no Disney characters, but it was still really cute and it makes me even more excited to take the kids to Disney World. They did great!

Reagan thought Glinda the Good Witch was pretty awesome.

Even I hopped in a picture...been trying to do that more. I'm not in enough of our family photos, haha. I would like my children to know that I did exist when they were small. ;)

It was a perfectly exhausting day, which means the kids had a great time. I might have fallen asleep in the car on the way home.

Saturday was Grace's birthday - yay! Officially three...and still a stinker! :) She's going through a stage right now that makes her even more of a stinker, which is really saying something for my middle child. Haha. Still, she is always up for playing along with some of mom's crazy ideas. We were going to take some pictures for Grace's birthday, and that...didn't happen.

This was the one and only "practice" shot I got, haha.

We drew our balloons and then decided to wait until the sun came out to dry our splotchy driveway. By the time that happened babies needed naps and kids needed lunch and before I knew time for pictures. You can see what we would have been going could have been cute. :)

Luckily I got a few pictures earlier that day with Grace holding her "3" sign.

I still can't believe she's a three year old!

Sunday was amazing. We had a great morning at church. I enjoyed lunch with my family and then Heather's baby shower for Kinley. I was so happy to be there and be a part of such a special day. Kinley is a total blessing baby, prayed for from day one. She's a miracle. :)

Sunday evening was our church's annual fish fry. The kids had a blast, and we always love getting together with church family. I didn't have the camera out at all on Sunday, but Eric did snap this blurry pic while we were at church....

It's not a proper church dinner without a kool-aid mustache.

We also did our shopping and purchased all the supplies I need to make decorations for Reagan's birthday party. Eeep! My baby will be one on Saturday! So I have one week to throw this whole thing together. October is insane, but I wouldn't want it any other way. :)

Hope your weekend was swell, too!!
