ROAD TRIP!

We received a fun little call yesterday morning. :) It was from the producer of a show we've grown quite fond of over the last several years. A show hosted by someone you may have heard of. Okay, if you've read this blog for any length of time and/or do not live in a cave…you've definitely heard of this guy.

His name is Dave Ramsey.

After sharing a bit of our story with some of Dave's peeps we got the call to come to his studio and be featured with him on the air during his radio program - hooray! It's a dream come true. :)

Kids - we're going to Nashville! And soon! We are all set to be on The Dave Ramsey Show on Good Friday (April 18) at 3:00pm CST. Not only will we be on the radio, but the show is broadcast live on the internet, which means any family and friends who are interested will be able to tune in and watch our interview with Dave live as well.

I'm not going to lie. That part makes me want to throw up a little bit. :) The radio I can handle…not like I haven't been in a radio studio before. Eric will feel right at home. But cameras…those are going to freak me out, haha.

So the plan is to leave on Thursday after Evelyn gets out of school, make the drive to Nashville, and be on the program at 3:00 the next day. Then we'll turn right around and leave to come home so that Eric can be at his own radio job on Saturday. It's going to be a crazy couple of days - but super exciting.

Of course I'm bringing you with me…I'll be vlogging the tar out of this experience, I assure you. :) Honestly, I could care less about the radio part; I can't wait to shake the hand of someone that has made such a big impact on our lives!

I honestly debated on whether or not we should bring our kids, but they insisted that we do. We worked through our debt journey as a family, and we're going to do our "debt free scream" as a family. I am certain this is something we will never ever forget.

Now the hard part…they want pictures. Pictures from our wedding, pictures of our kids, pictures of our cars…I mean…we have thousands upon thousands of pictures of everything. How in the world do I choose which ones to use??

Also. What the heck am I going to wear? I think this gives me the perfect excuse to finally stop into Small Town Style Boutique. (Ladies, I may need your help on this one, haha.) I need an outfit that says, "Hey. I'm debt free." Got anything like that? :D

Anyway. It's just fun. Just a fun way to celebrate the end of a chapter. Never dreamed when we went through Financial Peace University for the first time six years ago that we would be interviewed by our teacher someday. I hope you're able to tune in on Good Friday and share our excitement with us!!
