Weekend Wrap Up!

What a weekend! Eric and I spent most of it on the go, and I think the kids spent more time with Eric's parents than they did with us. Even Reagan got quite a bit of grandma and grandpa time in. It was FABULOUS for this mom…but I have a feeling my mother-in-law is worn out today! Haha. Thanks Joan for hanging out with our babies this weekend. :)

On Friday evening we had a fun dinner out with a group of Eric's co-workers. (Hey locals, Annbriar has a really yummy fish buffet on Friday nights - you should totally check it out!) Eric is super blessed to work with a lot of really nice, funny, and down-to-earth people. It was an evening filled with good food and lots of laughs. And…I totally appreciated getting to eat with two hands!

Saturday night was date night with Mr. Reagan. Finally picked up some "forever" Easter baskets for the kids. You know, because every other year I've used random baskets or the super cheap ones that fall apart. If you're ever in the market for a really good lined basket and don't want to pay PB Kids prices, I highly recommend going to a craft store. We found ours at Michael's - 40% off, and we used a 20% off coupon on top of that. Take that Pottery Barn.

Now here's a random question for ya: Were anyone else's kids totally WILD this weekend?

We knew our kids were a little crazy, but you should have seen our Sunday School class on Sunday morning, haha. A room full of preschool and kindergarten aged kids who were wound up and ready to go! I imagine from the outside looking in that we teachers probably looked like we were trying to herd wild turkeys or something. Anyway, I was actually kind of relieved when I saw that it wasn't just our kids acting bonkers. :) Maybe there was just something in the air…..

We began an awesome new class on Sunday night called "Managing God's Money." Eric is leading it, and we have a great group! I'm excited to actually get to go to a class myself again. I haven't been able to in quite a while. Once again, thanks to my mother-in-law for keeping the kids so that I could go!

A very old picture of us. :)

This weekend also marked a couple of milestones for us. It was Eric's very last regular early morning at the radio station. We have been talking about this day, dreaming about this day, for our entire married lives, haha. Also, on Sunday Eric and I celebrated twelve years of being each other's sweetie pies…awww. :D I truly love that guy more today than ever before. And I'm super glad for friends that can't keep secrets, because I swear 12 years ago I dropped Eric a million hints that I liked him, and he had no idea. Even after I asked him to be my "boyfriend for a day" and made him hold my hand all morning in the hall. Still clueless. That's Eric!

Today my husband gets to go to some kind of season opener baseball game something or other? I don't know. He'll be watching the Cardinals play. Probably the only nerd in the stands who is really just there on business. :D And tomorrow is….

…I can't even believe I'm saying this…

…tomorrow is Gracie's preschool screening. Gracie girl. Getting ready for school.

Remember this?

It's your turn soon, my dear!

Hope you all are having a lovely spring day…even if it does happen to be raining where you are. Eric, if you're reading this, stay warm today! :) Peace out.

The next picture in the series is less, "Awww, poor thing!" and much more, "Get us the heck out of here!" She was NOT happy she wasn't going to preschool, haha.
