Checking In!

Hi there.

I don't have any real excuses, I'm just a bad blogger. :)

And life, well...it's pretty boring around here when all it does is rain and rain and rain....

Let's see, I've done a lot of online shopping. Officially switched the kids' closet situation over from warmer weather to cooler weather (and discovered I'm woefully behind on the job of gathering winter garments this year.) Started listening to Christmas music and scouting out gifts, because let's be honest...I'm ready for the holidays like right now. And I finally gave in on the Halloween costume hunt.

All of the store costumes were annoyingly overpriced, and I balk at what they call "plush." So...if Old Navy wasn't going to sell their costumes this year, I would just get my behind on ebay and buy them another way. :) It was hard finding three costumes that the kids haven't already been, haha. But this is what we ended up with....

Yeah, I'm extremely fortunate that my kids do not care one tiny bit about what they dress up as yet. They'll go along with just about anything. Except for my Wizard of Oz idea. They shot that one down pretty early, and I still can't figure out why. They don't care about anything...except that. :) I'm just glad to not have to think about it anymore and that, no matter the weather, they will be toasty warm.

We also celebrated a lot of birth this weekend. My mama had a birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MOM!! And we welcomed three new baby boys into the family. A big congrats to my cousin Franny and her newest addition baby Yadiel. And congratulations to my cousin Crystal and her husband Johnny who welcomed twin boys Elijah and Gabriel. All three babies are so stinkin cute! I'd show you pictures, but I didn't ask first, haha. You'll just have to take my word for it. It's a babypalooza around here.

Speaking of that...I am over 20 weeks along now - hooray! And these are the last days of waiting for Eric and I to know a little more about the bookend of our family. The last days of wonder and mystery...and thank the Lord, cause I'm ready to know! Have I mentioned that before?

We're working on a little party for Grace and Reagan coming up - a prince and princess affair. I managed to talk Grace out of doing a strictly Frozen birthday for her brother's benefit. :) It actually works out perfectly since we also plan to share our baby news that day. Do we have a little prince or princess? And also because...this might be the very last chance I'll get to give Reagan a party with such a theme, haha.

Actually, I've gotta go because Grace and I have a project to work on this morning. We're turning our china cabinet into a castle. It's just an idea in my head right now, so we'll see how this goes. I have a little princess anxiously waiting for me :)

Have a great day!
